The Loan Operations Officer is responsible for the overall operations of Mortgage, Consumer and Commercial loans. This includes document preparation, processing, closing and servicing. The position is also responsible for following policies and procedures and to ensure each loan is in compliance with bank policies and procedures by performing the following duties and responsibilities:

Oversees loan department administration and operations which includes providing training for staff.
Manages Federal Home Loan Bank MPF program, including selling new loans, underwriting and quality control.
Ensures compliance with regulatory rules and regulations; complete bank training as necessary.
Train staff to ensure bank policies and procedures are being followed.
Supervises the maintenance and monitoring of loans booked, answer loan-related questions or items directly with customers and support staff in the bank.
Performs various loan operations duties.
Administers Wolters Kluwer loan software, ComplianceOne and Vanceo.
Represents the bank and provides leadership in key community activities, including business, charitable, civic and social organizations to maintain a proper responsible citizen stature for the bank.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements for the qualified candidate includes the following:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three to five years loan operations experience with a minimum of two years supervising staff.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of financial products and services.
Strong organization skills.
Superior written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to create processes and procedures and to lead a project and communicate results, as well as carry out new policies and procedures.
Must maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and integrity
Ability to work under pressure to meet pressing deadlines
Ability to travel to Keystone Savings Bank branches as needed

About Keystone Savings Bank

In the early 1900’s, the town of Keystone, Iowa had two banks, German State Bank and Farmers Savings Bank. When the Great Depression hit, both banks failed and the State Banking Department was placed in charge in 1932. To meet the needs of the community, Keystone Savings Bank officially opened for business on April 27, 1935.

Today, Keystone Savings Bank continues to be a strong community bank in Iowa and is owned by local shareholders primarily from the Benton County area. Through the years, the bank has grown and added branches in Marengo (1995), Center Point (2004), Pleasant Hill (2007) and Victor (2018).
