Responsible for leading the mortgage management team to ensure mortgage loan production meets established objectives while assuring the production meets quality standards and compliance guidelines.

Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Responsible for the production, operations, and performance and development of Mortgage Sales Managers and Mortgage Operations Teams.

Responsible for the goal setting for the department.

Collaborate with other areas of the Bank to ensure customer needs are being met through additional product referrals.

Manage the department within the stated risk tolerance.

Establish and oversee all department marketing and production plans.

Establish and manage the mortgage department budget.

Ensure Mortgage Bankers are held to the highest of quality standards  - including quality of borrowers, complete loan applications, pipeline management, ethical behavior, and relationships with Bank and Mortgage Operations associates.

Bachelor’s degree preferred

10+ years sales and/or mortgage industry experience preferred

?7+ years of direct leadership and management experience preferred

SAFE registration required at time of hire

Highly effective verbal and written communication skills

Experience in developing and managing a team to achieve departmental and organizational objectives

Proven sales experience with the ability to teach and coach other producers meet production goals

Strong analytical skills

Experience in budgeting, forecasting and profitability

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
